For contemporary artists, da Vinci is still a great example, with his unique ideas and painting techniques.

Leonardo was an innovative guy 

In addition to making beautiful canvas paintings, da Vinci was also a great innovator. An inventor even! Several books by Leonardo da Vinci with drawings of machines and vehicles have been found. Some examples of these drawings are drawings of helicopters, machine guns, submarines and tanks. He was a true reformer very important to his time; partly because of his ideas and way of thinking, countries developed much faster!

Van Gogh is one of the greatest artists of the 19th century. He was unprecedentedly good at making portraits and abstract art on canvas paintings and was one of the founders of contemporary art, both in the Netherlands and the rest of the world!
