Who was Gustav Klimt?

Gustav Klimt grew up in Austria where he studied at the Vienna Art Academy. After this training he mainly painted in neoclassical style. After this he started making bold ceiling paintings in important buildings such as the theater and museums. Klimt painted a lot with gold, and is therefore easily recognizable in his style.
