Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is the ninth film directed by Quentin Tarantino. This time again, he delivers a classy film with the help of some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Al Pacino bring 1969 Hollywood to life and make for a top 10 Oscar nominations film. With multiple strong storylines, interesting characters and top actors, everything was there to make a beautiful film and this definitely worked.

Tarantino is known as a director with a completely individual style and this is also reflected in this film. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is an ode to the Hollywood of 1969. Or as Tarantino himself said. “This is the year that shaped me. I was six years old, this is my world and this is my love letter to Los Angeles."

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
The film brings together several storylines. First up are the fictional characters Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) and Cliff Booth (Pitt). Dalton is an over-the-top actor who, along with his stunt double Booth, tries to relaunch their careers. Next up, you follow Sharon Tate (Robbie), a successful actress who moves to live next door to Dalton and may well be his entrance back to the top of the film industry. Dalton and Tate's stories eventually converge. As in Tarantino's other films, he mixes fiction and true stories to create a film that grips you from start to finish.
