Willem II her glory days
The Tilburgers can look back on a very nice history of the club. The club managed to win the national title in the Netherlands 3 times. Unfortunately this has been a long time ago. The last national title was won in 1955.
Despite that is Willem II definitely don't sit still. At the end of the 20th century, the early 21st century, the club regularly managed to secure a European spot. They even did this fairly recently (season 2020/2021). The team played European football 4 times during this period. They were allowed to participate 3 times in the current Europa league and 1 time in the biggest final tournament for club football; the Champions League.
Unfortunately, after conquering the European ticket, the team does not always manage to get a spot in the group stage. The club was eliminated 3 times in the preliminary rounds of the Europa league. Despite the lack of success, the placement for the Europa league was a big party throughout Tilburg.
Almost every Tilburger gives the club a warm heart and hopes for the best for the team. For the Willem II supporters, the European outings were a wonderful adventure. They had enjoyed this and created a gigantic atmosphere during every match. The matches against the Rangers in 2020/2021 were therefore very memorable.

When we talk about the club icons of the Tilburgers, there are many that can be named. Of course you have the fantastic trainer Co-Adriaanse, but also club top scorer Piet de Jong.
These icons have lifted the club to championships and ensured that the team qualified for the European places.
Piet de Jong managed to score no less than 1947 goals for . in the period 1961 to 216 Willem II. He only needed 363 games for this. Once a goal in 2 matches is certainly an achievement that you as a striker can be very proud of.

He was able to show his qualities on the largest football stage in the Netherlands and excelled in this.
